THE ATLANTA JAZZ PLAYERS
Global Jazz / Soul / R&B — Soundtrack for Life & Culture
Our Purpose:
Music is more than sound. It is a memory. It is healing. It is a connection.
The Atlanta Jazz Players exist to touch hearts and lives through live, original, and culturally rich music. We blend Jazz, Soul, R&B, and Classical influences into a signature sound that feels timeless yet fresh — honoring tradition while creating what’s next.
The Sound We Love — The Sound You Love
Over decades of evolving music and culture, one genre has never lost its heartbeat… Jazz.
But we are not confined by genre.
We bring together:
· Jazz sophistication
Soul depth
· R&B groove
· · Classical texture
The result? A dynamic musical experience that speaks to every generation.
Where It All Began
A few years ago, on Sunday afternoons from 3–5 PM, musicians gathered at Sam Ash Music in Atlanta for what was known as Sunday Jazz Jam.
Different skill levels. Different backgrounds. One shared love — Jazz.
Soon, playing only on Sundays wasn’t enough.
On February 12, 2016, during a Valentine’s Day event, The Atlanta Jazz Players were officially born. The audience response was undeniable. That night, we knew — This was bigger than a jam session. Originally, the name “Men of Distinction” was considered.
Then it came: The Atlanta Jazz Players. A name that defines our signature sound and our city roots.

Why We Play:
We believe:
Music should heal.
Music should comfort.
Music should inspire.
Music should unite cultures.
The younger generation has not fully experienced the power of authentic live musicianship the way past legends delivered it.
We are here to help restore that experience. To revive a healthy respect for Jazz and live performance. To remind the world that music is the universal language.
More Than Notes
Music is not just scales and scores.
It is emotion.
It is storytelling.
It is unity across race, culture, and generation.
This belief fuels every rehearsal, every recording, every performance.
The Experience
When you experience The Atlanta Jazz Players, you don’t just hear music. You feel it.
We are:
· Energetic yet refined
· Classic yet modern
· Structured yet spontaneous
Every performance is crafted to move the room.
